20 Most Played David Bowie Tracks

Veteran Channel 4 News journalist Jon Snow couldn’t have put it better when he said: “[Bowie] was a breed apart… an incredible, creative life force… I thought he was our generation’s rock star, but he wasn’t. He was every generation’s.”

In honour of David Bowie’s life, PPL, the music licensing company, have pulled together data on his most played tracks of the 21st century.

David Bowie’s top 20 most played tracks span three decades of recordings. The earliest, Space Oddity, was released in 1969, appearing in the chart at number seven, while the latest, Absolute Beginners, released in 1986, appears at number 19.
