IGGY & LITRO YOUNG WRITERS’ PRIZE – SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED!

The shortlist includes writers from Canada, the USA and UK, with ages ranging from 13 to 18. The competition drew more than 500 entries from 36 different countries. The judges praised the outstanding quality of the writing and the creative approach to the theme.

The 6 shortlisted stories are:

Elsie Granthier, UK, 17 – Song of Serenity
Feodor Poukhovski-Sheremetyev, Canada, 18 – Cupid in Sweats
Katherine Liu, USA, 15 – Feather Footed Kids
Pascale Hall, UK, 17 – The Hunt
Rianna Davis, UK, 15 – My Children Are All Monsters

The winner of the IGGY & Litro Young Writers’ Prize 2014/15 will be announced at an Award Ceremony at the Shard in London on April 1 2015.
The winner will receive £2,000 and be published in Litro magazine, with an excerpt of the story displayed at a London tube station. Five runners up will receive a cash prize of £200.

The shortlisted stories will be published online at www.iggy.net/writingaward on Wednesday 1 April 2015.
