Litro Live! Thursday June 11th, 6-10pm
‘An evening of live storytelling and music in a celebration of journeys across borders’
St. Pancras International Station
On Thursday 11th June, from 6pm - 10pm, Litro Live! will put together its biggest live event yet, in partnership with St. Pancras International Station, bringing its inventive approach to St. Pancras International Station for an evening of music and the spoken word, featuring artists including Geoff Dyer and Jake Arnott, Hugo Williams, and music by Stuart Silver, The Mayfly Trio and Kate Daisy Grant with more to be confirmed.
The event will be held at the Betjeman Arms on the Rendevous level (upper concourse) with views of Eurostar trains heading to Europe on High Speed 1, the UK’s first high speed railway line, making it the perfect setting for audience members to get into the mood for their own summer travels.
Maureen Bannerman, Retail and Marketing Director at St. Pancras International said:
We are pleased to be working with Litro on this event. The written and spoken word is particularly important to us, as of course it was the Poet Laureate Sir John Betjeman, who saved this Victorian masterpiece from demolition in the 1960s
Artists confirmed so far include travel authors Geoff Dyer, Alistair Boyd, Hugo Williams, (TLS travel writer, Queen’s Gold medal winner for poetry and editor of Betjeman for Faber’s ‘Poets on Poets’ series) and Jake Arnott (reading from his travel-infested new title ‘The Devil’s Paintbrush)
Musicians including The Mayfly Trio, Kate Daisy Grant will be followed by a live Dj set by DJ Jamie Byng.
