2012 Shortlist Announcement: Litro & IGGY International Short Story Award for Young Writers

Thank you to everyone who entered the 2010 Litro & IGGY international short story competition. We received over 450 entries this year, and for the judges to shortlist just six was a challenge. The judges this year are Damian Barr, Will Eaves, Chika Unigwe, and Gemma Weekes.

The winner will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on 15 October and receive a cash prize of £2,500. The winner will also see parts of their story displayed on a poster in a London tube station and its entirety published in an upcoming print edition of  Litro Magazine. But first, you can look forward to reading all the shortlisted stories online on Litro next week.

For those of you didn’t make the shortlist this year, well done for taking part and do keep writing—there’s always next year. For those who made it, best of luck for the final round.
